Ben Burmann is an international student here at CSUSM. He is in my Leadership In Organizations class in the College of Business Administration (CoBA) and it is such a pleasure to have him take the class this semester. He is extremely diligent and well prepared in every class and I can always count on him to weigh in on the topic for the day. Ben is a thoughtful individual who thinks through complex issues and provides insights that help enhance the collective learning in my very interactive class. I commend him for not sitting quietly because this is a new and foreign environment for him. Instead he takes every opportunity to engage in and support the learning environment in the classroom. He, along with other team members worked to lead a long case discussion with a creative approach designed to elicit maximum student engagement. I wish him all the very best in his career.

I still remember the first day when Ben started his apprenticeship with us. He was nice and courteous and it quickly became clear that I was dealing with an attentive young man. He quickly understood work processes and it wasn't long before he was able to work independently.
When he was given tasks, you knew that he would complete them reliably and quickly. He wasn't afraid of any job, no matter how challenging it was. He was the type of person who pitched in without being asked. A quality that I still greatly appreciate.
After successfully completing his apprenticeship, Ben was happy to tutor the new trainees. He conveyed his knowledge in a simple way and took the time needed.
In private conversations, you could tell that he wanted to constantly expand his knowledge and that standing still was out of question for him. Personal development and honing his skills were always important for him.
Now he has grown into this business-minded man and we are sad seeing him leaving our company, which he also played a part in adapting to modern challenges.
I can proudly say that it has been a great pleasure to accompany and work with him on his journey so far.

I would like to take this opportunity to recommend my classmate Ben for his outstanding support and tireless dedication during our time at the University for Applied Sciences in Worms.
